I lift/lower my 35” spare easily by using some rope & my recovery pulley tied to a rear step on our FWC with a soft shackle.

I fabbed up a simple and lightweight fold-down spare tire carrier for the little tracker, and its "BIG" 31" spare 😁

I also approve of the fold down rear tire carrier. It is surprising that this solution isn’t used more often, although I admit I saw the design elsewhere instead of thinking of it on my own.
