Sprinter 4x4 Van

The Iglhaut 4x4 conversion uses the first generation Sprinter. The photos on the South African MBZ web site are also of the first generation. Iglhaut continues to make this available for used vehicles. I think the Sprinter built in Argentina is still the older model. I'm sure this plant will convert over at some point to the new design. Iglhaut will probably stop making the conversion kit at that point. "Kit" is a misnomer, since Iglhaut replaces the entire front subframe of the Sprinter, and adds a custom designed transmission and transfer case.

The Achleitner Manta conversion photos show several European vans. They have a project vehicle based on the new VW van, itself a variation of the Sprinter, so there's hope that Achleitner will eventually make the conversion available for the new Sprinter that's for sale in USA.

Achleitner makes a very cool military truck, too. I think it's a variation of an Italian IVECO.

I really like the crew cab and ambulance body ones. They have 285/75r16 tires, they are triple locked front rear and center, and they are diesel... What more could you ask for? Oh yeah... for them to be sold in the US! Very cool though.

Yeah, that might be the most comon sentiment uttered by us Yanks here on the board: "I WISH THEY SOLD THEM HERE!!!!" so lame. Funny, I was litteraly JUST going to post that same PDF, those look really neat imo.

Cheers
