An interesting Caravan show, complete with German beer and organic chocolate. Apart from that a few boring things I know you wouldn't be interested in like, energy efficient water heaters, sleep systems, shower units, and propane systems.

What a tease!

It's been over a week since this thread got a bump.

We need a little diesel to throw on this ember...lest it die out. M&M? Just a tidbit to keep this campfire alive? :campfire:

We do not expect a bon-fire but just a couple tablespoons of fuel to fan the flames abit :sombrero:

We have identified a laminate to finish the composite panels with as well as a good adhesive for both.

The other exciting news is Andrew Walker came over to the shop last night with a cooler bag full of Red Stripes. I think he lubed us so well he knows all of our trade secretes. :friday:

Choosing the right memory foam is the issue. There appears to be two main types;

A low density memory foam molds to the shape of the body very fast and is pressure-sensitive.

A high density memory foam reacts to body heat.

We have heard of problems with memory foam turning hard at low temperatures and from our research this would seem to be an result of the foam being made of the high density material.

Reading further on the net there is a discussion that cheap imported memory foam also turns hard at low temperatures.

Anyone had issues with their mattresses at low temperatures?

We have a custom latex foam mattress in our truck camper. It's not memory foam, but it is a little harder when cold. Not so much that it's a problem though.

You may want to talk to the folks at Custom Comfort Mattress. They are located in So Cal and will make custom foam mattresses (they made the one in our camper). They may be able to give you some good advice about material selection etc. They also carry memory foam products if that is of interest.

Joanne mentioned this trailer again.
I think she is a little worried about taking the tent trailer off road.

Spousal approval is a good thing.

When we were given "the preview" at the shop... the word was summer 08 availability... summer has come and gone...

What's the new ETA on these???

Our best intensions were Summer 08. But we are a small company and our production schedule has not slowed down in over two years. Squeezing in a new trailer has been difficult.

The process of developing a new trailer is always long, but this trailer has been more arduous than most.

We want to select the best materials for construction and not all of the issues have been solved in getting the materials to perform the way we want them to.

You will not see this trailer in 2008. We do not intend to rush the process and produce a trailer that isn't of the highest quality.

It would be pointless to rush head and manufacture a trailer that was less than stellar.

The bad news is, you are going to have to wait.

The good news is, we are planning a separate R&D department some time in the future.
