It won't work on a Chaser because of how it mounts to the side box?

If it will/might work, I want one too :)

James

Nice Dan...

Count me on one for the Chaser model when you figure it out.

Ok...just to let you all know I am working on the sink again; gained some ground this week. I should have some pics and pricing in a couple days.

Thanks for being patient but I want to get it right #1 and also get it in a more affordable price point #2 and come up with a uni-fit for both Chaser and Horizon models #3. So far it all looks doable. I think you're going to like it!

Yes the new design...not pics posted to date...has a nice drain with stopper. This is really for hand/face and casual water collection usage. It won't be big enough to be utilized as a dish washing sink really (9"x12"). But I got to thinking about the whole dish washing thing anyway and how wasteful, from a limited water supply perspective, it is. Personally I am, for trips exceeding 2-3 nights, where water has to be taken/used self-contained, going to shift to disposable plates, etc. and modify my food prep to limit the use of water for this purpose.

You can take a pretty nice shower in the outback utilizing limited water resources with 1.5 gallons or less (DesertDude is the KING of low water showers ;-) but washing and rinsing dishes/pans/etc takes an inordinate amount of water. Sorry...I got off topic there!

Instead of a SS salad bowl how about a 5qt SS dog dish there flat bottom and cost only $1.98 and would store a little better IMHO. Also a hanger can be bought for $4.00 thats made out of 1/4 round stock with 2 hooks on the back to clip onto a lip.....just an Idea

Yep...the breadth of home brew solutions is huge. To be really efficient, for those dog owners out there, you could actually use the same bowl one uses to feed and water Fido. Less is more sometimes ;-)

However this is going to be scaled a notch or two above that specifically for Chaser/Horizons owners that want something more...

My apologies I meant no disrespect to your thread I was in reply to Lynn's quote regarding an alternative (salad bowl) I love these build threads without each others ideas and creative inputs what would we all do.

I removed my comments, and will save them for DIY thread.

Good luck with your venture.

Also, may I suggest that this thread, since it is a commercial venture, be moved to the 'Equipment for Sale' forum, and out of the "Expedition Trailers" forum, which is intended to "discuss expedition trailer options."

Hey guys...no offense taken. Just a point that there is always a different way of doing things. That is personal :wavey:

What spressomon is doing is very cool. I'm lucky to be involved in that my Chaser is doing the modeling for Dan's R&D to make this thing work on a Chaser.

Spressomon's new mini-sink accessory along with the new AT galley Shelf I just received should be big improvements for the Chaser.

I saw the sink in Dan's trailer when it was down at the shop, looks cool.

Send me pictures and/or post the combination of the shelf and the sink, it sounds like a winning duo.

Yep, I think it will be a great combo. I have yet to drill the holes in the fender for the studs to locate the self, but I can just sit it on the fender for pics when the sink is done.

I'm so interested in getting one of these. Can't wait to see the final product.
