Congrats on finding the trailer and it sounds like unharmed.

Still would love to hear what happened to get it all the way to FL. :lurk:

As for the relay, I could meet someone in Yuma, AZ and take it up to AT's headquarters. :rally_guys:

I'm in St. Pete, FL, and wouldn't mind relaying it up I-75.

I also drive from St. Pete to Deltona every weekend so if it needed to head over that way to meet up with someone else (even though going east is a little out of the way to head west) I could take it with me then, too. I'm sure we have enough people all over to get it back to you guys.

I've offered via email to haul the trailer from mid-ARK to the AZ/NM border.

We can get this guy home in a couple days, with a little coordination.

Once again I'm speechless (I'm typing right now so I'm still speechless) at how things get gone so quickly and efficiently on the Portal. It's an amazing example of how the real world should function every day.

First thank you to the long time lurker Jim Feehan, 1Speed, a customer of Adventure Trailers, who went out of his way to hunt the trailer down, sweet talked the Sheriff into allowing him to take possession of the trailer, and managed to talk the tow truck driver into dropping the trailer off at his house. I could hear the tow truck driver in the background whining about paperwork but when Jim mentioned cash the guy just wanted to know where he had to drop it off. Capitalism at it's best :)

Thank you all for all the ideas of getting the trailer back to AT headquarters. You are all so incredible at pulling things together. The offers go from tag teaming it across country to offers of pick up and delivery.

I need to talk to Mario and Scotty to see what would be the best choice, at this point I have no idea.

Thank you all again. I'll keep you all posted as event move forward.

Correction. He's not in the market for an off-road motorcycle.

Jim's wife

Um...that means that a dual sport is still a possibility, as it's technically a street bike that can go on dirt....:roost:

Thanks Jim for your help!!!!

Awesome news! Glad it was found undamaged.

So Jeremy emailed the location and it was still loaded with their gear? Wonder why he abandoned the stuff, or was he apprehended?

Still hoping for the childrens well being.

Great news y'all. I'll update the folks on the forums I posted. It's great to see folks pull together like that. I wish the rest of this country could figure out how to pull itself back together lol...

The tailgate is unlocked so I can see it is totally packed with food, personal items (including a childs stuffed animal), cooking gear (some of it brand new and unopened), and I can see the Engel is still there. I will cut the locks off this afternoon and make sure there is nothing perishable in there and I guess donate the food to a local charity. Maybe the rest to Goodwill once I see whats there. I will try to post pictures if I can figure out how.

WOW is all I say!!! To the gent that offered to tow it to CA at the end of June: You should, if you can, join us at AT's Hurricane LakeFest in Eastern Arizona the end of June...perfect spot to drop off the Chaser. How cool would that be!!!

What a great bunch o'folks here!!!

Items

Maybe you could list the items for sale and donate the money to charity? I guess depending on what is there.

I'm completely bothered by the stuffed animal. It reminds me that those kids have probably experienced some pretty odd behavior by their father during this, if they have not before, and they will forever remember this episode (depending on age). This guys needs to spend some time under lock and key and grow up.
