and, the dutch oven lid lifter. I stole the basic design from Lodge, they make and sell a similar one. The two little legs keep the lid stable when lifting, so as to not disturb the charcoals.

Hey stumpy, I love your build. And Idk why some people hate on that color, I think its different. I like it!

Anyway whats that carpet you have in it? Its the same stuff cop cars have..just noticed that today. I've bedlined my floors and still run carpet, but I'm tired of scrubbing it, this is a much better option!

We need a picture now of you, Bob, and me with our fire pokers held aloft. Like the Three Musketeers ... ... but we'll be the Three Glampateers...

Now that Country Fried Weekend is over, I finally had some time to start bending some tubing today.

Obviously have a long way to go, ut for 6 hours of effort, I am happy with the results so far.

Main pieces for the sliders bent:

Started on the roof halo for the exo portion of the cage. There is a lot more math and skill involved in doing all those angles and compound notches than a lot of folks realize.

The main section is 1.5" .120 wall, and the angled pieces are 1.25" .90 wall. I tried to keep it fairly light, and this piece 95% finished weighs in at 72 pounds. I can live with that.

More updates later, ran out of Argon today, so I need to get that re-filled.

Stump...
