Soft-roading Forester guy
Have a 2015 Forester XT myself. If you want a RTT, Forester has the suitable factory roof rails to support. Family of 4 + 1 dog have camped before. Tight fits and the not-flat bed inside requires a platform to level out... meticulous DIY project.
Recommend LP adventure (Canadian aftermarket company, but several US dealer partnerships) for minor (2 inch) lift options and underbody protection if the stock offering doesn't scratch the itch.
Echoing previous sentiments: its a tall Impreza wagon or Legacy wagon option.
