Next time try for the route I mentioned. You'd be thanking me right about now ;)
Too bad about Icefields parkway, though. A bunch of it is pretty boring, but the rest makes up for it. Athabasca Glacier is epic in the tour busses.

I don't know how I missed your last post in my planning thread! I just noticed it.

We're big into wine, so that's why we spent so much time in Kelowna/Okanagan. I liked it. I also thought Invermere was quaint. Amazing meal at Birchwood, too.

Yes, the wine is sublime. Good enough, then - guilty of going through the Okanogan for that reason myself a few times...
Did you go to Silver Sage in Oliver?

I think we've derailed enough...
Back to the Soobs!
This is a few days back, before new KYBs and Subtle 1 1/4" front and 1 3/8" rear

This is today, with the new suspension goodies, factory 16" alloys from a newer OB, and 215/65-16 General AT2 tires.

I thought I saw somewhere, (of course I can't find it) that this car, or one very similar had flames shooting out of the engine compartment. Did that all get taken car of?

Yes, we had an issue at Pikes Peak. Took us a day to fix all the wiring, plumbing and intake damage caused by the fire.

Glad to hear the damage was minimal enough to taken car of in a day, but at the end of the day that is one mean looking picture!

Stop lying

And how is that a lie?

Privateers do it because it's fun. If you can get sponsors etc.... to lessen the hurt on the wallet then great.

Professionals (SRT USA etc...) do it as a marketing exercise for the business. Every person there is on payroll (in SRT's case it's Vermont Sports Car)

Somebody say Subaru expedition rig?:smiley_drive: A couple of shots from our annual family expeventurcation last week.:rally_guys:
Oh and I learned the hard way that you can't lift these much past 2" without spacing down the subframe:( Lowering the front down 1" and trying out some new HD axles I'm hoping to give a good report on.

Withought making me redo the search, what is your suspension setup EJ? Are you on spacers AND kings? Are you still on gen 1 Forester struts too? Have you gone over the magic 2" over stock AND stepped down the drivetrain accordingly to compensate??
It looks great and in fact your expo rig looks very....Australian! :)

AAAAAAND those HD axles you speak of, would they be the HERI HDs (PN 22276)? I might have further interrogation. :coffee:

Thanks man!
I'm running Kings and 2" spacers, SF KYB front, SG KYB rear. I didn't do the subframe spacing and that's a problem. It'd be ok except pulling the trailer puts even more strain on the fronts. For now I'm going to swap the front 2" block for a 1" one but leaving the rear high, it should have the car sitting level with the trailer attached. I couldn't track down Heri HD 22276 anywhere, going with Heri HD 22200 with the tone rings pulled off.

Those wouldn't happen to work on a SG Foz as well, would they? I need to replace the axles anyhow as they were ripped up when we got the car, might as well go HD if we can.
