Super cheapo van build, it's my fourth E350...

It does stick out, almost to the edge of the tire. So far no black soot.
I try my best to plan properly, but lack of $ gets in the way sometimes.
Thanks!

So another catch... the tank strap bolts are seized and replacements aren't available till monday... bugger! There for no EsparD4 install for a while :(

I also did the Dorman bellowed up pipes on my van. One trick I've found when dealing with stubborn exhaust or manifold parts (O2 sensors and such) is to run the vehicle and get the exhaust hot. It's counter-intuitive because no one wants to work on a hot engine, but the heat really helps crack the fasteners loose much easier

I usually run the vehicle and get the exhaust nice and hot, then sneak in and carefully crack the bolts free, then let it sit and cool before digging into the rest of the job.

Luck, I don't have any.

I bought the double stack non extendable 2003+ mirrors from a local in Plant City for $50 in near perfect condition.
Well the luck I don't have is my doors only have three holes. Yes I know they all did before 2003 but here's the kicker. My three holes don't come close to matching up.
I definitely don't mind cutting up these doors because they are manual and hand fulls of imperfections.
But even the hole for the wiring is too small.

And my drill isn't strong enough...
Blah blah blah...
Had a bad day then this.

Keep an eye out for door shells from an 03, problem solved :)
Sorry you had a bad day buddy, it's never fun especially when you are excited to play with new toys and they don't work :(

Door woes are in the air. After replacing the cables in the barn doors (broke while door was closed...) last month, last week the rear doors got stuck closed! New latches, cables, and license holder....
Sorry you're in the trenches at the moment, I'm there too.

I picked up a Engel MT45F-U1 the other day for a great price (used) its in perfect condition and i can drop the temperature low enough to freeze stuff if needed.
What a difference it is to have a cold drink at hand.

Med-size extra transmission cooler in place.
My typical non-standard mounting lol

I don't have any issues with temps at the moment, i installed this just to take a few degrees off to make the transmission's life a little bit happier.

Hmm interesting location. I just purchased a tranny cooler off a 6.0 to swap into my 7.3 but now you have my gears turning about different places to add it into the system...

I've done this in the past with huge success. Last time it was some monster sized cooler mounted behind the rear, before the spare. That time temps dropped off 40-50 deg.
So far I see at least 15-20 cooler, and that over time is a benefit, as you know.
But I suspect the temps might be lower than my first report. I plan to update as time goes on.

Ihave only driven 7 miles so far and can feel a huge difference in the way it drives. Immediately I see the difference in fuel economy, about 4 miles per gallon miles increase. Rolling coal is a pretty cool factor too!
The adjusted the torque converter lockup I did significantly nicer and better.

Trying to write this little review as I'm driving on I 95 isn't so smart. I'll catch up later in about 700 miles.
