I have no input on building muscle as Im a time trial rider and building huge upper body muscles is the opposite of my needs but for post workouts, a glass of milk with Ovaltine. Seriously, no joke. Chocolate milk is THE post training drink for cyclists. It has all the vitamins and minerals you need. There are countless of after training ride shakes out there and after many reviews, a lot of the time the reviewer comments on how its only close to what chocolate milk gets you.
