Had a great time

I was invited by some friends of mine to come down and check Surf and Turf. What a great time. Great people, great weather and great trucks. The highlight was the midnight cruise we took in the Td cruiser. What a nice truck. I guess we all can guess what the next family truckster will be.:smiley_drive:
I posted some pictures at www.pbase.com/brg .

PS In case you could not figure it out, my son came along (and Dad loves taking pictures of him)

SnT was a blast. Even if we had to leave early Sunday morning to get home. (it has been a long week of teaching, fun but long)

It was great to see everyone here.

I am bummed we missed out on the pig!
When was the midnight run with the diesel 80? And more importantly where was I?

Blair...It was great to meet you and sit in your awesome Mog! I want to drive it next time.
Jack...a pleasure as usual. Have a safe trip!
Vince...Always great to see you, and nice to finally meet Heather!
DDude & Girl...Thanks for saving me a space! And stop bringing your 80 so I don't have all these dreams floating around in my head (tent, trailer, water, bumper...)
Boston...It was like a reunion, seeing you and Brett again. All we needed is some steak!
Skillet...great to meet you. I really dig your 80

I will hopefully post pics soon...But here is my Sunday morning.

I had hoped to leave early, to beat traffic. But once we were all packed up, I couldn't find my key...So, we unpacked and packed again-twice. Still no key. I tried to retrace my footsteps (sorry Jack if you heard a lot of footsteps in the early morning). Still no luck...So I found Kevin and Jeb, asked them if they knew how to hot-wire my 80. We tried their keys, no workie.

Finally, I tried searching the sand around the truck...on my hands and knees. Found my keys, except my battery was dead!? Guess too long with the fridge plugged in. Got a jump, but the tranny wouldn't shift out of Park...ARgghhhhhh

Went under the dash to find a small wire that plugs into the ignition that had somehow broke off. Got some duct tape to hold it in, and presto! So far so good. I am still trying to get ahold of my New Mexico parts connection to get a replacement.

Thanks kevin for trying to hot-wire the 80

Wow Robb, sounds like you an "interesting" Sunday morning at SnT!! :yikes:
It was great being neighbors and hanging with Bella and Cat again.

Vince, Baja Bohemian---so glad that you made it and was wonderful to meet Heather! Yeah, you don't go to SnT for quiet or sleep :sunflower

Hey Guys

Great meeting/seeing all of you as well!

We did it a tad different this year and brought the bike to check out the local mountains and trails and were very glad we did! The pismo area is an amazing place with nice sites just miles from the beach.

Great to see Robb, Cat, Vince and Heather again, Officially meeting Pasquale and Kristina, and of course hanging with Jeb and Dennis! :victory:

What a great time! This was our 3rd in a row and we will continue to go.

And yes, the quad noise is very annoying and the stereoype of "most" (not all) quad owners being ignorant, obnoxious ********** was solidified watching the ****************** next to our camp doing donuts around their trucks ALL WEEKEND long and never ever leaving camp!

I counted at least 3 or 4 times they smashed into each other and once one of them hit his own PARKED TRUCK!!!! IDIOTS!

Time will weed them out though! :victory:

Anyway, here are my pics:
