First let me say, i import US military goods to Israel. Everything from Nylon goods to weapons and ammunition.
I got into the business because when i came to Israel to serve in the IDF, i brought along my own gear.
After a while people kept asking me the get them pieces of gear and almost by forcestarted importing.
I guess my number 1 piece of military gear is my Eagle industries A3 pack.
Ive used the same pack daily for over 15 years....up until my last trip to Paris where it was stolen.
I bought another Eagle A3 except the MOLLE version.
Bottom line...overbuilt ? YES. heavier than civilian packs ? YES.
worth every penny ? YES.

ROFLMAO. And people try and get IDF gear (especially LBV's) in the states. And whenever I see IMI ammo, I buy it.
But, the Eagle packs are not military surplus...they're mil-spec, and marketed to the military (as are BH, Kifaru, London Bridge, etc) but are only issued via RFI (which means they're commercial off the shelf items).
The actual crap the military issues is far, far worse.
Personally, my 'big' medical bag is a Kifaru Navigator with lots of pouches inside and out...built military tough, but not military surplus. My BoB is an EMR...
And I always liked the Eagle products...I have a briefcase with hidden holster that I bought in I guess 1995 or so. Still works fine after a LOT of abuse. I'm not such a fan of Blackhawk.
So, what sort of bags do Israeli medics carry?
