I can see your point, and drbandkgb's point, too. Suzuki's sales in the U.S., although up for nearly a year straight month over month, are still pretty small in the U.S. I have often wondered if they'd try something like a small pickup with a diesel to try and differentiate themselves from the competition, and cater to a niche crowd. It is risky, for certain, though, and I certainly wouldn't want it to be a "nail-in-the-coffin" scenario, as I really like Suzuki (and I own two of 'em!).

Nope - no differentiation here. Look at the current offerings - they look exactly like everybody else. You got the Camry type sedan and the generic vanilla wagon and a pickup that looks surprisingly like a Nissan...

All very corporate. There's a marketing department somewhere that's covering themselves with cookie-cutter clones of 'the industry standard'.

They're too small to try something and fail. They'll be the last manufacturer to copy whatever becomes the next 'industry standard'.

Plus, their build quality isn't very good. My wife bought an Aerio and we couldn't wait to dump it - terrible.

We're sticking with out Samurais. I think Suzuki was a one hit wonder.

Cheers,
Mark
