This sounds like a price for hand-made stuff. I'm betting this is a cottage business and they aren't tooled up for full production (yet).

From the looks of things, anyone with a big CNC panel router could produce these things fast, so I'm guessing this price doesn't reflect any economy of scale.

Yeah, if you watch their video, their pretty much hand made.

Was really into it until the pricing became available - for $8,000 I'll stick to a trailer. Still, for Europeans with limited parking space (no extra room for a trailer) this is a great way to get out there and would be the way to go if I still lived in England :clapsmile.

Call me crazy - but I have enough problems getting the wife out on an expo/camping trip - let alone having her do the dishes at the side of the road!

Shipping weight appears to be 5 boxes at 18kg - about 200#. Likely a dry weight less accessories such as the awning, fridge and portapotti

Alternative to SRB ? How much ?

Can't find the price, anyone knows how much is it to buy compared to swissRoomBox? The strength of the SRB is that IT adapts to most of cars. You don't have to change your SRB when you change car and you can mount and dismount it easy, no tools needed ! Other alternatives you may know, pls give price. Very clever but way too much set-up and break down. As far as price, you check the price of a Rolex lately?

Let's see, a couple Rubbermaid Action Packers, a butane burner, paper plates and plastic utensils, an Aquatainer 4 or 7 gallon jug with faucet, solar shower, porta-potti, some odds and ends and you're a few hundred bucks. Toss in the fridge and Zodi and you're still closer to a grand than farther from it. Get an RTT (or sleep in a ground tent) and you're still under $4000 and that's if you get a big Maggiolina.

Clever design is only worth so much.

I paid under $17k for my Pleasure Traverse camping van with a Westy interior and don't need anything but the shower and potti to get a much nicer set-up.

That is way cool. Kind of expensive, but still way cool.

Their web site is kind of hard to figure out, however. Can't tell how much all of the features add to the price.
