Had some custom rock sliders built (xo-fab) to length since there was nothing on the market that I believed suited my wants/needs 505291505292505293
Had some custom “pine tree” gussets made just for some personal customization and added strength

Prepped metal with por15’s degreaser then their metal prep. 1st layer of por15. Dried for about 2 hours, then another layer and sprinkled sand on top and let that dry for two hours. A third layer of por15 followed by bed liner on top and rubberized coating on bottom/frame sections to minimize chipping.

New oem fuel pump cause I’m sure it’s still on the original one. One of those “just in case” items checked off the list 505307

Por15’d the whole section then finished off with silver for the armor plate and rubberized coating on the rest of the axle View attachment 505316
More nice work (y) Does the armour come in parts that you have to weld or pre-welded?

Decided to box and weld on my lotus lower link skid. I understand their design but also understand that upon sharp or hard impact, the lower links can still crumple up and get damaged. Eimkeith makes a great weld on one but I preferred to box the entire link so if there is ever impact load, the whole entire link is boxed to the frame giving it no room for damage (if I do manage to damage it, I probably broke a bunch of other things too lol)

Had to drop the gas tank again to weld on the driver side reinforcement plates.

505337505333505334Not the cleanest welds, but proper penetration and function is more important. Some of the most awkward welding angles I’ve experienced laying on the ground 505335505338
