Tacoma Double Cab Standard Bed or Long Bed?

You might as well get the Tundra if you're looking at the LWB Tacoma. I've driven with the LWB Taco on the trails... You better have really good body protection because the tight sections put your body panels against rocks and trees. They still get around but you will need more lift due to the increased wheelbase to overcome many obstacles. Honestly, I'd buy the Tundra over the LWB Taco if given the choice. I bought a new 2010 Tundra DC 4x4 TRD Limited 5.7L and it averaged over 16MPG over 10,000 miles of driving. Best MPG was 18. And it would haul...

Also... A little interesting fact. The 2000-2006 Tundra Extended Cab has the exact same wheelbase, width and similar length compared to the 2005+ DC SWB Tacoma. You can save a ton of $$ as they sell way cheaper than used Tacomas. And they are just as capable off road if built the same. Plus, you get more HP!
