Tacoma w/ LC FZJ80 and GY DuraTrac 285s (33")

I thought long and hard about powder coating... It was only $100 per wheel, included them on stripping.
Well I knew that these wheels could and most likely get scarred.. It would be easier and cheap per to rattle can paint it w/o sealer.
If I scratched them.

:Wow1: Mine were $35 each and I blasted them. He wanted another $10 if he had to do it. He just got a big oven last year too. I am going to have him do my Bajarack. The factory "powdercoating" was poor.

Would you dare compare them to the Mud Kings or Sport Kings for wear? I had a set of Sport Kings with 100k on them and they still had a lot of tread!

Not sure, I don't have any experience with either of those tires so I can't really say. I don't think I'll get quite 100k out of them, but who knows, they've only burned through roughly half the tread after almost 50k so I guess anything's possible. My guess is that they'll eventually get too difficult to balance before the tread completely wears out.

:Wow1: That is an insulting amount of money to be asking for 5 wheels. Mine were $200 for 5 including prep, although that was 3 or 4 years ago.

That is what I thought too... but there were other shops that were quoting higher!
Anyways if I did find someone in the mid-double digit range, I would consider powder coating them.... maybe.

I really love the FZJ80 wheels - got a set of my own too. Smoking Gun Custom Powder PC'd mine for roughly $40/wheel, but I did all the blasting/sanding/prep. I touch mine up with nail polish enamel.
