Now the Duffle. I LOVE this bag! It has been getting a ton of use and abuse and it is standing up to everything I throw at it.

.
Approx 30" long with grab handles on both ends.

.

.
Approx 16" wide. Pair of straps that velcro together for the carry handle. Also has a shoulder strap with buckles that can be clipped to any of the corners to allow for whichever configuration is easiest to use.

.

.
Large open compartment with zippered pockets in the cover for extra gear.

.
Approx 12" deep

.

.
Durable heavy canvas bottom panel with scuff pads.

.
Buckled straps on the outside to strap other gear to the outside of the bag. There is also mesh pockets on the ends and a "bungie" net along one side for other gear.

These have definitely become my favorite gear bags. They are incredibly durable and surprisingly weather proof. They probably aren't a bag to fully submerge in a lake but I've had mine in the back of my truck for 2+ hours in torrential rain and not a drop made it inside the bags. The other thing that impressed me even more was that they seem to be impervious to dust. During CruiserFest this past September I had them in my open trailer or in the bed of my truck and we were on 500+ miles of seriously dusty trails. The bags got so dusty on the outside I couldn't tell what color they were anymore. Not a spec of dust was in the bags when I opened them up at camp. The big Gear Containers are perfect for a roofrack and their size and dimensions make them perfect for packing several of them side by side on a rack.
.
They are not cheap bags but after several months of use now, they are worth every penny of the cost. I'm looking to add another duffle and another gear container to my stash.

I forgot to mention that the Gen2 Gear Container has additional tie down loops and lash points all the way around the perimeter to make it easy to tie down to a roof rack etc but still be able to open the cover.

The biggest problem is the Orange. Then non water resistant. I no live in a desert.

Don't know what to tell you about the Orange. If that's a problem for you then I don't know what to discuss. As for being water resistant....I don't know where you get the idea they are non-water resistant. They most definitely are. Like I said before, anything short of chucking them into a lake they'll do just fine.

It sounds like some constructive feed back?? Take it with a grain of salt, talk to tepui and see if they can manufacture different colors, there is certainly validity to not wanting to stick out like a sore thumb.

Very stylish. Some folks want to stand out. 'I'm expeditiony'

Plus side, when you are stranded in the hinterlands you can dump your gear in a pile and spread the bags out as a marker panel for air search.

I hear ya. I totally understand that not everyone wants to stand out. All I meant with my earlier comment was that orange was all that's available now. I can definitely bring it up and see where things go. The feedback is always welcome.

Revisiting the thread, and I like the construction, and features! I assume these are imported? Yep, only gripe is still the orange, but there is validity in having at least one bag bright as heck to stand out in the other bags and such. Box Rocket, thanks for the pictures, and info!

Ok, like I said before, I like them. As is. If Tepui sends me a sample bag or three, I'll use them and abuse them.. I'll take it to the fire station and toss it on the truck for a few weeks to carry some random gear I need. I'll take it to Moab and let it get bashed around the back of the truck. Even IF I didn't care for orange (which I do), it would be scuffed to hell and covered in red dirt anyways. So who cares? I'll let my kid use it as a soccer gear bag too. She can toss it into her little Rav4 and drag soccer balls all over the field with it. I'll load it with wildland gear and take it on a control burn. I'll let it ride around the back of my Rhino carrying fussees and then the red dirt will turn into black soot and ash color. It will go to Canada this June as a luggage when we go to the womens Wold Cup. Airports, taxis, you know the drill.. Then I'll write a review. How about it Tepui.. I'm offering my services.

I'm not 100% certain but I don't think those North Face bags are the same material. The Outdoor Retailers Winter Market show will be in SLC, Utah in a couple weeks and I'll be attending and I think there is a good chance that there will be samples of these North Face bags at their booth. I'll take a look and report back on any similarities and/or differences. But my brother has a NF bag that I think is this same one that you linked. If it is that same bag, then it definitely isn't the same material. It's maybe have as thick at best and nowhere near as durable as my Tepui Duffle.

Stay Tuned.

How do these handle the cold?? I have tried 3 different storage boxes, all hard plastic, and all have broke due to the cold and now looking for the next solution
