Nice truck it looks really clean. What part of the county are you in? 480,000 km before a major failure isn't that bad. What of the country are you in? Were the parts hard to find in Australia?

I've been in Colorado basically our whole life, but just moved to far west nebraska last year to get away from the massive amount of people moving into Colorado.

The truck is pretty dang clean. It really just needs to cleaning and degreasing which I have been doing.

Yeah 480k is pretty good, I think it would have went further had the radiator been replaced.

Parts are pretty easy to find on the web now a days. The engine rebuild kit is from Engines Australia. There are quite a few websites now you can get tons of parts from for really good prices all over the world. www.partsouq.com is a good site to get parts from. Put your VIN in and go. I still tend to research a bit to make sure I have the right part numbers, but overall they have been good.

Finding one in decent shape is definitely proving to be frustrating without a 20k price tag. Should have just bought the old mans when he sold it...

That pretty much explains most 30 year old land cruisers lol. The issue in the US is that it's even harder to find one that was never sold here.
There are more getting imported all the time, but it's still an older vehicle and who know's how hard they've been abused.

Definitely. I can personally attest to how robust they are. I drove my dads 70 on and off for a couple years from 2003-2007. I can remember the summer of 2003 the clutch started slipping. He still drove it every day until the winter of 2007 when he finally decided to replace the clutch. When I pulled the pressure plate, the clutch came out in pieces and yet it was driving pretty much just fine the day before.

They are definitely my favorite vehicle of all time. We have owned 14 Land Cruisers and all have been really good to us.

where did you source the arb commerical bumper?

The ARB bumper was already on the cruiser when I got it, and when my friend bought it years ago. If I had to guess, this has been on this cruiser for a long time judging by the other ARB accessories age on this cruiser. I've heard that ARB bumper were an option at dealerships new. Now I have no proof, but it wouldn't surprise me down there.

It currently doesn't have a winch but the commercial bumper is setup for a warn 8274. I believe you can still get an ARB to fit these, but not sure you can get the commercial anymore.
