What would be the best way to prevent the ethanol menace?

Not sure of the situation in AZ, but in several states I've lived in there have been gas stations listed as having ethanol-free fuel. They are few and far between and prices tend to be a bit higher

We have a station nearby that's ethanol free, and it's cheaper! There are also treatments to get rid of the ethanol damages.

Go diesel! For my ATV's the shop told me to use blue stabilizer usually for marine applications. Blue in color and says for Ethanol treatment.

Well, I've had about enough of CD's and FM radio. What's the best solution to get your tunes from your iphone to a factory stereo?

I think a Bluetooth - fM transmitter would be slick an behind the scenes.

What have you done on your D2?

I got an iPod adapter from Grom (I think?) audio. It worked excellent in my D2 while keeping the stock headunit. Easy to install and relatively inexpensive

I bought #5

Great info Matt, that is one sweet very low mileage Disco . Let me introduce myself as a new owner ...

I have been looking for a couple of years for either a G4 or a yellow Kali edition and stumbled on a Trek Edition last week. I purchased it and now have it in my storage facility. It is Trek Edition 2003 #5 of 15. It was used in the competition that is on You Tube part 1 and 2
It is complete and looks great with the exception of a few things.
Mine has many more miles 83k, but it is still very nice but has several issues and I want to restore it to factory fresh or upgrade it.
. I need advice and direction from you LR experts....

Should I take this to LR or does anyone offer correct restoration for these? I would like some advice from someone that has gone down this road. It looks like mine was the LR of Buckhead edition, fitting since I am also a Atlanta Native.

My first priority is to get it to 100% correct mechanical condition, replace worn parts and get it looking like it is supposed to. I will also refinish all 6wheels...Does anyone have a line on replacement decals? Were these only offered directly from LR?

I am also considering this,
to lift or not to lift it and would like advice on this
looking at http://www.rte-fab.com/ or EMU and maybe larger tires.
I may look at replacement aftermkt bumpers ..thoughts?

if there is anyone that can help lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I have restored several older bimmers but not a LR...I am ready to commit and if anyone can send me in the right direction I will be most appreciative and will documment
this resto
my email address is dfrankel3508@comcast.net

thanks

I'll second what Timmy said. I don't know how much 'restoring' you'd need, probably just freshen a few things up. I had RTE springs on my old DII and was pleased with them + OME shocks. Netted me about 2.5" of lift over stock. If you want something not quite so high I'd suggest OME springs paired with the OME shocks
