I have rock river ar15, that I enjoy thoroughly. I have no range time on the scar but I've handled a few time a really like feel of it better than my ar10.

I'd recommend shooting a warsport and a scar-h before having strong opinions on either. 308 is great, but sometimes I can't get 308 where I'm working. Getting 556, of some flavor, is usually always a pretty easy option. With the warsport, I can run anything I find from 55gr to 77gr without issue. Its also a great replacement for the upper on my issued middy colt. Sometimes rocking a bigger gun like the SCAR-H isn't that fun or isn't ideal.
