Look at the Sigma 35 1.4 Art. Easily the best 35mm prime on the market, in fact it's one of the best lenses at any focal length period. The only thing better is probably the $4000 Zeiss Otus. The Sigma is beautifully built, with optics that put the Nikon and Canon offerings to shame...and at half the cost. It's my favorite lens.Thanks. I think my next lens will be a 35mm prime. It's a spectacular lens, you won't be disappointed.I took you advice and looked at the Sigma ART on line. They are about $400.00 less than the Cannon 35mm 1.4. I think I'm going to try and rent one and check out the quality. Thanks.
