Too funny. I really got lucky! It was about 8 in the morning with the sun coming up from behind me. The smoke and clouds in the sky created some incredibly soft light.

That explains it. While in Yellowstone in 2009, there was a big forest fire going on, the Arnica Fire, and the smoke covering the sky made for some very interesting lighting
