looks great, thanks for the cabinet tour. A full fledged 'contact' vehicle indeed. My time in the Marines I could never get any tools (besides the pioneer tool rack), even wearing many operational hats in the HQ btry and driving the command humvee. I finally took to a 19" Craftsman box stuffed with my own tools, padlocked shut and to the vehicle. And a large ALICE jammed with a bunch of other useful stuff. I would have killed to have access to a rig like yours in the field. All we ever saw of Motor T was the wrecker / tow truck. Never saw them fix anything in the field.

Haha. That is why I don't understand why people buy a yeti 60qt for $500 and fill half of it with ice when you can get a smaller real Fridge for less

Yes, having a cooler is a big space waster with all that ice you have to carry. But they are nice when you have no power. I guess everyone has different needs and therefor gets different setups.

Geeze, you would think they would have these maintenance trucks everywhere because our stuff probably always breaks. Now-a-days the military is selling off all those maintenance vehicles. And no, I'm not giving mine back, haha. I don't even want to know that they never used the big M109's or M934 trucks for their intended purposes. Glad you found a way to secure some tools and keep them at the ready!

couple years ago my wife bought me a YETI 60 (or there abouts), bought it for Christmas with a coupon and a Christmas sale and ended up paying $250. the YETI works for us, we can pack a whole lot more food into it than you can in one of those fridges.

nice build thread by the way. I don't remember if I seen it or not, have you replaced the steering shaft on here? a XJ Cherokee shaft is a good upgrade to get rid if the steering rag joint and go to a u-joint steering shaft.

I have reconsidered and report that there is a major flaw with your build. At least, a flaw as far as I am concerned: I could not drive around with that toilet seat up front. It totally skeves me out. Would you consider at least painting it flat black or camo, at least the bottom part that faces forward?

Hmmm, I still have the stock steering shaft on there. That is a good upgrade that I will put on the list, thanks!

I wouldn't say everything is correct. But I'm trying. It's a learning experience through some trial and error.

Paint it black or camo? Then how would people know where the nearest public restroom is? :)

How bout the old WWII navy ship style camouflage. I think it would look great.

You could always put up a sign saying `use at your own risk´ That should cover any potential lawsuits...:)

Oh no, it was much more violent than one of the alternators going. Violent shaking and metal clunking/grinding coming from the engine. Also chunks of metal on the engine oil dipstick.
