The display on my '21 CFX3-45 is now displaying in Martian font, how difficult is it to replace the display?

Cheers!

Looking at the 75DZ, how accurate is the 18.58” height? My slide opening is right around 18.5” in height from the top of the platform, does the cooler have removable pads on the bottom? I was not able to find a picture of the bottom.

I’ll measure mine for you but I highly suggest you read this thread about the number of people who have had problems with their dometic.

I don’t expect any product to be problem free, but for what these things cost I do expect customer support.

I have a $1200 boat anchor and Dometic has basically told me to kick rocks.

From what I've learned, there is a new version planned for release sometime in June. In the meantime, I'll send you a private message and get you connected with someone who might be able to help out with the connection issues you are having (y)

The contact(s) you gave me for Dometic support are either no longer with Dometic or are not responding.
Can you offer any help?
I still cannot connect to my CFX3 55im.

Thank you.

You’re probably right. Their website product pictures show two different pictures with completely different dimensions. I sent messages to multiple emails asking for clarification and never got a single response lol.

@Dometic Can you tell us what the plans are for updating the Mobile Cooling app? The iOS (iPhone) version 2.0.10 has not been updated in over three months and still does not work (for a lot of us).
I have a CFX3 55IM and I am unable to connect the Mobile Cooling app to the fridge. I have tried the hard reset, the 619 app reset and other suggestions, and I still cannot connect.
My CFX3 55IM still works fine, I just cannot check it remotely.

Thank you.
I have the same issue, CFX3 55IM, had it for years with app/bluetooth working and the other day after not using it for awhile discovered the app no longer connecting to the fridge, uninstalled/reinstalled/etc... and nothing I do allows the app to connect to the fridge. Other than that the fridge is working correctly. I just created a ticket with Dometic, will see if they have advice.

Has any single person here who was sent a private message actually gotten a resolution?

My private message went nowhere. I’m trying very hard to be polite and to remain factual but I’m beginning to feel deliberately misled AGAIN.

There are probably a lot more Dometic frigs out there working fine and we never hear about that fact. And at least Dometic has a presence here, trying to give some image of assistance. (Whether that is working or not I don't know, neve had any issues...so far). If the company was smart they would engage even more and provide some actual resolution to failed units and the owners of said. That would go a long way towards being a reliable company with product support that builds a positive relationship with buyers and end users. The product is only as good as they make it and providing post - sales support is the most valuable brand building action they can take, even if it means doing something post warranty period that fixes the frig and owner relationship.

Yes. It took indisputable data. I first tried using a "local" authorized service center with no luck. It was incredibly frustrating; I saw some of the email exchange between the authorized service center and Dometic and it was childish and pathetic. There are no other words to describe the service center other than unqualified and ignorant. I plan on posting a write up of my experience when I have a cooler head. It will detail the strategy I used to make my case to Dometic. Hang in there, stay the course.

100% agree. It's most appreciated. If it wasn't for their presence, my issue/unit return would have never happened.

Ever since I switched the lids on my CFX3 (three months ago), the smaller compartment lid hasn't stayed closed particularly well. Recently (last week) it stopped staying closed at all.

It looks to me like the lid is set a bit too far forward so the lid teeth don't catch in the body's groove. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of a solution?

Video of the problem - once with working side and then twice with nonworking side (turn on audio to hear it unlatch by itself):
Also I added a picture of the lids not being aligned in that link.

I was given a CFX3 45 by my neighbor, it is brand new and still in the factory packaging however it was a "scratch and dent" It looks like it was maybe dropped during shipment because it has a dent on the back corner. The retail company made it right with him and told him to keep it. 3 of the 4 compressor mounts were broken off, the thin plastic it mounts to pulled through the bottom. I got those 3 pins fixed by welding on new hex washers to the heads to fill the broken plastic void and the compressor secured now. The compressor runs and the inside gets cold however the problem it has is the compressor will run continuously when the fridge is set anywhere from 32-40. If I set it to 45 the compressor will shut off. I did fill the fridge with bottled drinks just so it wasn't cooling air. I verified the fan is working and when I had it apart I did not see any signs of coolant leakage from any of the lines. I also put a thermometer inside and it was within a few degrees of the set temp. I did pull the thermistor out to inspect it and it looked fine as well. Cooling fins are clean as it is still brand new.

Surely the constant running isn't normal when set in the mid to high 30s? I only have experience with the ARB fridges and it doesn't do this. Anyone know what else might be damaged or wrong or if there is an easy fix?
