The Great White Buffalo

Fergie, if you had put the buffalo up for sale a bit sooner, I would have given you your asking price. It was a fair price given the pm, parts etc. That said, I think, no, I know you are making the right choice keeping it! I have always wanted an 80, and now after having one for only a month, I can't imagine not having one. If it comes down to it, sell the pathfinder and put the money towards the build/fuel bill! i look forward to seeing what you do...
The responses I got from here and on MUD weren't the issue; all of the people were good to deal with.

It was the 6 people in two days, 4 test drives and offers of $1000 less, with all the extra parts from locals on Craigslist that pissed me off.

Besides, I can't get into another wagon vehicle in good reliable shape, and AWD for $3,500...just makes sense to keep it for a good while.

I sold the 7800 a while back after it sat on my shelf for 2 years. I use my FT60 attached to a mag mount Wilson and call it good.

I used my ft60 with a mag mount but that got old after a while. I love the clean look of my ft7900 mounted with a through the roof antenna. I love your rig though.:victory:

Damn, your 3FE cruiser was an inspiration to me and my 91 FJ80.
What made you sell it and what did you get ?

Thanks for the kind words.

We bought a Westfalia as it fits our camping needs better, and the 4wd exploring vehicle spot is filled by our Pathfinder.

Oh, wow! Hope you got a good deal for that super sweet Cruiser!

Bet someday you come back to the Legend - more than one here at ExPo has left to return!

Argh! Sorry to see it go! Bet you don't miss the mileage though. What were you getting after all the work you did on it?

Well, I always drive slow compared to most, so the mileage was in the mid to upper teens on the interstate and the low teens in town and on the trail.

Alright, so if you are the guy that bought my LC, around 8/16/11, I can't find your contact info anywhere in my records, and I'd like to get in touch with you.

Please send me a PM if you see this.

Thanks,
G
