The Great White Buffalo

Looking good! Have a great time in Baja!
I think we will! It will be our first solo into MX, and our farthest south, so this should be great.

With the help of a good friend, the OME castor correction bushing were installed tonight, and I'll test drive in the morning.

For those that may be interested, look for the Great White Buffalo for sale in the very near future!

Why?

Looks like I might have to sell mine too. Too much needs to go out with little money coming in.
We originally bought the vehicle as our main camping/travel vehicle. With the Pathfinder we have now, and the Chinook being built, we have all our bases covered for travel and trips.

I'll be looking for an AWD wagon, like a Scooby, as the replacement.

It has been a great vehicle taking us on trips all over CA, AZ and into MX several times....I'll miss it I'm sure, but I'm looking forward to the Chinook.

Well, I pulled the GWB off the market...seems people want a steal of a vehicle, with all the extra parts, and want to talk you down on the price...got old real quick. So ****** 'em, I'll build it how I originally planned.

I'll post a more detailed write-up of this evening work tomorrow, but here is a teaser:

I sold the 7800 a while back after it sat on my shelf for 2 years. I use my FT60 attached to a mag mount Wilson and call it good.

Glad to see you keeping the 80. Planning on tearing into mine this spring, rebirth!:victory:
Honestly, I think owning a FJ-80 is kind of like keeping a dirty little secret....some naughty about all that power...maybe not, could just be doped up on cold medicine and stupid things are amusing to me!

I need to ge me one of those "3FE POWA" stickers.

Fergie, if you had put the buffalo up for sale a bit sooner, I would have given you your asking price. It was a fair price given the pm, parts etc. That said, I think, no, I know you are making the right choice keeping it! I have always wanted an 80, and now after having one for only a month, I can't imagine not having one. If it comes down to it, sell the pathfinder and put the money towards the build/fuel bill! i look forward to seeing what you do...
