The Josh's M416 Trailer Build

I was thinking SOA because I want to run 35"s to match my tow rig. Any negatives with SOA?

I definitely will open up the bearings and probably replace them, anyone know what the parts numbers are? And where to locate?

Thanks for your comments I'm looming forward to this!

I am late to the party---sorry.

Welcome to the m416 world where nothing is wrong as long as you like it.

I found that to get 33's under mine I had to do a SOA which is easy to do. No negatives with a SOA as long as it lines up OK with the tow vehicle. If you want to keep the emergency brake you will have to get adapters for your lug pattern from US Adapters in Colorado. If you want to go with electric brakes just get a new axle to fit the pattern you need.

In regard to the stock axle here is some info:

Wheel Bearings (4 per trailer):
Federal Mogul Set A-35, which consists of:
Bearing: LM501349
Race: LM501310

Grease Seals (2 per trailer):
Federal-Mogul 472018

I have quite a few pictures and info on my build thread.

Have fun

Thank you!

I'm loving it so far, a very stout little trailer!

Thanks for all the part numbers! I decided that I'm just going to get a new axle with electric brakes. I'm not sure if I should keep the same width or go a little bit wider on the axle, any thoughts? I plan on running 35"s with 6 lugs and Toyota wheels.

I spent 2 hours this evening stripping everything down so I can get everything sand blasted tomorrow

i was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction....

i plan on buying new springs for the trailer, and for the rear c shackle should i just buy new threaded stock shackles or do a buy a grease able shackle? and if i buy a grease able shackle do i need to but new c hangars, like a unthreaded one?

I ordered my new suspension parts from summit and they should be arriving in Tuesday. I started bolting the trailer back together using new grade 8 hardware. Wanted to check for ride heights and axle measurements so I chocked the wheels up. Ill finish all my measuring tomorrow and place my axle order on Monday
