I HATE them!!!!!

Yeah, I feel real good driving the Hundy, cruising and blasting some good bass with the windows down, lookin' all that, smilin' at the honeys with the seat all the way back and then I remember I have chrome wheels: I switch the radio to NPR, roll up the windows, sit up and put my hat on straight, slow down and look straight ahead.

Go Henry! We're watching!

Where do you live? Scottsdale? Arizona?

<sigh>...I came back from AZ kicking and screaming! Don't get me wrong, Texas has been a great place to me and my family, but I still miss the Sonoran desert. One day....

Henry, im late the party.. but your new rig looks nice man. I'd love the chance to build a 100 series myself someday. I didn't know you sold your 60 either. Dang im behind the times! Anyhoo, congrats on the new purchase and the new build fun your about to have!

Henry,

I notice you mentioned wanting a skid plate. I too would love to have one, but I hesitate "throwing on together". I know that Slee was considering a skid/crossmember at one point but they are really slow bringing stuff to market.

The Budbuilt stuff is really impressive. If we could get him a truck for measurements and do a group order on Mud, I bet he would consider doing some skidplates. Or another fabricator for that matter.

I'm thinking a front plate that works with the diff drop and a rear that covers all the way to the transfercase.

If I could buy something off the shelf, it would be a no-brainer, but like you said, stuff takes time to go to market and the 100 series is barely past the dawn of mainstream. Slee is a businessman, he'll continue to develop parts as he sees a market for them, so I expect that he'll continue to develop 100 series accessories in the future. The 80 series has gotten to the point of popularity and price that a *lot* of people are tinkering with them and building their own stuff. That's not Christo's target market, his is people like me, who don't have time/tools/skills to be welding plate and bending tube.

I'm going to take the 'Melon to JK Customs and see what he thinks. Jason has built some custom skidplates for 70 series (i.e. nothing off-the-shelf) and he has mad skills and reasonable prices.

The Budbuilt stuff looks awesome, I'd support a group buy if we can rustle up a 100 series near them and they have the time to develop.

Thnx, I'm getting ready to finish adapting the INTI rack to the 100...this should be interesting! :)

Right on, mine is actually a 60 series rack that was widened at the gutter clamps to fit a 80 series.
