Interior (at least most of it) arrived today


dash I had recovered to give it a softer appearance.

and a new insert

not sure I'm thrilled with this part.... mostly because the glue on it is worthless

not sure this was the red I wanted but I really like it so it's all good

recovered headliner

put a lot more bolts in, can't tell except the battery is back in (which means the fender is on for good)

also need to add another elbow to the intake - so the coolant tank fits back in

Just before paint was testing the turbo... it has a fuel leak that I need to fix before I get full jiggy on it but I've driven it some. Kind of fun with the tiny tires on it. There are seats in it, very beat up seats...

I'm going to remind something here.... normally I wouldn't put this kind of effort into a 4x4 but the goal of displaying a new product camper

so I've been fighting this for a minute getting the heated mirror wires through the tube through the door frame
but I found a solution, panduit reminants

first, though, you need to pull the grommet all the way through

it's large enough and stiff enough to push through but yet still make bends

Yep, that's how my buddy does it, who has been doing auto electrical for 3 decades.

I've done so many of these I suppose it was my turn to not get them all completely tight. It was suggested a long extension and crow's foot ... nope.... ah well, if I wasn't hacking and sniffling I suppose this would have been a one evening task... alas, it wasn't
