Think I've found my Hundy only it's a Lexus

I ended up buying the one mentioned earlier. Very clean. The undercarriage was very clean and the only rust was the light bit you often see on the exhaust system. About a 9/10 with just under 68k miles and 2002 model year. I'll post up a photo tomorrow but it will be a driveway shot.

It was used as a commuter vehicle back and forth between Vegas and Jackson Hole and was traded in on a new one. Must be nice to be loaded!

I hope it's as reliable as they are said to be and was reassured by Lexus USA telling me that it had been serviced by the book since day one. I still feel a bit anxious. ;)

Congrats :wings:

Enjoy your new ride, hope it works good for you. I didn't know what AHC was so had to do a search to find out. In so doing, I found this article which may be a help to you if you ever have problems.

http://www.activesuspensionsystems.com/lelx470susy.html

It says the whole system costs about $2400 to replace/repair, when it may only need a new pump and O-rings for about $325.

Vic, also worth mentioning, the suspension can be completely swapped out for traditional components. One can go Old Man Emu and a differential drop kit for $1k plus labor.

The AHC service was done at the selling dealer when they replaced a leaky shock before it went out for sale.

So far the rig is great. I did some backcountry snow/ice covered roads (about 30 miles of them) last week and never even had to take it out of 4 hi or lock the CDL. I would have likely gotten stuck repeatedly in my pickup.

Oh, and to the guy who said I should take off the running boards, I did a couple months after his suggestion. :D Big improvement on appearance alone if nothing else.

Ditto! Big improvement on clearance too. Although my running boards added a bit of insurance on a few occasions that would've otherwise been a costly repair job on the door sills
