The Reboot was changed to have larger frame members. 2 X 8 instead of 2 X 6 box and the tongues are now 2 X 6 with approx 3/8" wall, instead of 2 X 5 with 1/4" wall.
The changes don't translate to the Pause frames. I'm only talking about Reboot. But the new 22.4 Pause, which is a whole new trailer model, has a frame design similar to the Reboot, in that the body is wider over the same wheel track and has wheel wells. The Pause line is not the same thing as the Reboot line, so improvements or changes are not done to them both. That's like asking if Chevy improved their frames, does it mean Ford frames are better too.
Not that I have a lot of say in the matter, but I talked to the head engineer and the spokesman at Morryde about the Reboot frames being weak, a few months back. They insisted the frames were strong and guaranteed. But the Reboots are running right at full GVWR when ready to go. Some guys are balking at having no reserve capacity. My Reboot tongue is flexing more than I like and I explained that to Morryde. I also explained how the hitches are being mounted to the frames incorrectly. They were surprised about that, but were not ready to entertain my suggestions on improving them. Funny, but I told them the tongues should be 2 X 6 with 3/8" wall, instead of 2 X 5 with 1/4" wall. The new ones are what I recommended, but no improvement on the hitch mounting.
Bottom line: Get the newer frame. Some are already at ROA and I saw them last week.
