I'll definetly look for it. Where do you live now? If I remember correctly the bottom of the cover was worn or starting to tear also. If I find it though take pics so you have an idea of its condition.

That's a ways away. I used to live in riverside Cali which wasn't too far from there. Used to go to Vegas on long weekends.

Dropped the truck off at my buddies shop yesterday. Should have it back with the new tires on sometime today. I did take some before measurements. Found the front ground to fender height is at 32" and the back at 31 3/4" but that is loaded with the tires too so it's probably pretty close to the 32" unloaded.

What did you think of camping on Portsmouth Island? We're toying with doing that early October '16.

I loved it. There's a group that's talking about going from here I think sometime late October to early nov. Something to keep in mind is that there's really not much there. No gas or food or anything like that. Also make sure your vehicle is healthy because it cost me $450 to get towed from there and it could have been higher. The places that tow from there generally start at $500 just to go over to the island to get a vehicle.

Other than that it's a cool place. You feel like your on a deserted island somewhere while your there. There is a little deserted town that's kept up by volunteers that's pretty cool to see. It's a bit difficult to get to since there is a long water crossing you have to go through to get there but most decent 4x4s should be able to get a cross just fine. My D2 did it all stock. It is fresh water also in case you're wondering. I hear the fishing is really good in October also. We went in the spring and they said the green flies hadn't hatched yet so bug wise we were good but I don't k ow how late in the year they stay out. That would be something to think about also. The first night we were there it was very windy. I had steady winds reading at 30mph on my wind meter and it was gusting quite a bit higher then that. We brought 4 5 gallon buckets and filled them with sand and tied everything down to those and that worked pretty well. The other couple that was with us didn't fair so well. There canopy collapsed that night. The wind eased up on us for the rest of the trip thank god. Even so it was a really nice trip. If they do make a trip again this fall I'm going to try and make it but I have a lot going on in October so I may not be able to that soon. If you decide to go let me know. If you have any other questions feel free to ask I'll help in any way.

Finally got the tires mounted. Haven't measured yet because it was still at my buddy's shop. Haven't picked up the keys yet. But I wanted to swing by and take a look at the tires mounted up.

Didn't think the back tire would hit the bumper when I originally decided to go with bigger tires. I looked at a couple different ways to raise the tire up and decided to just flip the factory carrier. Had to notch the carrier a bit to keep it from hitting the rear wiper blade. Also had to drill a new hole in the carrier. I used the spacer plates as a template to drill the new holes. Painted the bare metal and installed back on vehicle. Doesn't touch any more. Took about 45min to complete. Not bad.

You can see here where the old hole was. Remember too the top left bolt is longer then the rest.

You can see here where the bracket gets notched.

Just have to install my CB now.
