Tire Size Help

Hello all

I recently purchased an 09 G550. It has pretty tame street tires on it right now. I would like to increase the tire size a bit and would like some input on this. I do inted to hit the trails and use this beast as it was intented to be used. I'm new to the G's but not to off-roading. I sold my Jeep a year ago and have missed being able to enjoy the roads less traveled ever since. I'm excited to start exploring again. I went to a local tire store for help but was told they had nothing in a 110v rated tire that would suit what I wanted. They also said it was against policy for them to put anything other than a properly rated tire on the vehicle.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Good old Californicate and their stupid government rules!

There are lots of off-road tires available. Go to a good G-Class Forum, like the one on Pointedthree.com; and you'll find lots of suggestions.

Great site.

I found what I needed. Now I just need to remove the rims and bring them to the tire shop so they will mount them.

Kind of rediculous if you ask me....
