3-5x higher stiffness... not strength. FG is much closer in stiffness to the existing structure, so it's better to use that if you want to reinforce it (ie improve the strength) in a specific area.

Stiffness is what is needed for compression.

I think the light depends on state law and if it is over/under 80". I put one on the back of my trailer because I didn't want the hassle again.

We hand over the "camper" as an empty shell. This means no interior at time of picture taking. If we are lucky, our customer will share pictures when done.

I realise these are stock sized, assembled shells but am curious, if a person wanted a less tall but similar unit how much lower could that roof be while maintaining sufficient structural integrity above the door ? Put another way, with 50mm panel construction if using the full sized euro door what is the min interior height - in both rear and side door placement ?

And while l'm asking, for customer window placement in these pre assembled campers what is the recommended minimum distance from an inside corner, and ceiling.

Finally, are the exterior corner caps coated with a finish ? and is there any reason they couldn't / shouldn't be coloured white ?

Seems to me you could probably cut the height down by about 4" and still use the full size doors. I definitely don't need 84" of interior height. I think 78" would be plenty.

Also, check out Pronghorn Expedition Vehicles. They seem to use white caps on all their builds and I think they look a lot cleaner than the black. All personal preference though.

Pronghorn will certainly do custom for you. Just reach out and ask them directly.

As for further reducing the height or any other size changes: As we have these units (8 different versions) in production, it's virtually impossible to fulfil everyones small changes. At some point we needed to call it good.

Aside from that, we are constantly working on new designs/solutions for the future.

The white or black corners are up to our partners. Our HQ in Victoria chooses black as that colour is much easier and faster to get from our local powder coater.

Thanks. That's where I saw Pronghorn. Plus I think I read someone on here had some dealing with them.

If they have better luck communicating with the supplier than l have, I'll be further ahead with some of my questions. (Have tried once directly when TC was listed as contact or my area, and twice on this thread)

Victorian did reply to your post about Pronghorn and your desire for custom sizes. He also explained that there was a limit to the number of standard units offered. Maybe you misread his post, or maybe you could have asked for contact information as you did seem familiar with Pronghorn?

Short answer:
The "nothing" referred to the ignoring of and not answering my questions posted 17 days earlier see post 287.
My return, posted lest the gentle reader conclude I felt otherwise.

Longer answer:
A dealer was about pursuing answers.

Understood about standard units - and acknowledged in my preamble. The questions that followed asked to learn more about using (or choosing) the 50mm materials including the system used to construct them with.

Questions that I think it reasonable for the mfr to be able to answer. And, in my view not dissimilar to many others previously asked, and as a precedent, answered in this thread.

Indeed #2, about cutout placement limitations/recommendations, had been asked before - but that was for "84mm panels".

#1, about the interior height, was prompted by photos posted here with variations on the door placement relative to the floor and ceiling. Some with the lower or upper extrusion, or both, cut into. Some with a larger "header" etc. Of course those may have been earlier versions, one-offs, experimentations etc but somewhere in all that I'm thinking the mfr has determined a recommended min height, perhaps different than the one offered.

#3, on cap colour, was prompted by comments about dissimilar materials, different thermal expansion rates and covering panel with wraps.

To follow up... I emailed Pronghorn with the same 3 questions about the 50mm panel materials and received the following answers:

1) If using full euro door min interior height would be ~ 6'4"

2) Windows and doors best kept min 6" from a panel edge or another opening.

3) Caps are supplied (to Pronghorn) unfinished, later powder coated (all white to date).

I don't know if the above info is approved by the mfr but it is sufficient for me and I post it here in the hope that it may be of interest to others.

I'll add fwiw, my query was replied to <48hrs, opened with a, "happy to help" and included some unsolicited but useful additional information. To me, all good indicators of the company.

And that's where where I'll leave this !
