Traded in the Kj

I finally traded in the Kj. I just couldn't come up with the money to fix her. I traded her in for a 2005 F150 supercab. My kids love the pick up. Was sad to see her go.:smiley_drive:

good for you. Sometimes you get a lemon, no matter the brand.

We had a 2003 expedition that served us very well for the four years we owned her. All the way up to montana and back, never an issue.

5.4L triton v8 is an excellent, well balanced, and reliable motor.

Only thing we had to fix was a window motor. Just died one day!?

We keep dumping money into the brakes on ours! it just never fails to fail! We'll be trading in for a used range rover.

Poor KJ. What was wrong with it? Indeed sometimes you just get a lemon. Happens with all makes and models. Hope the F150 is good to you. They are good vehicles too.

Needed catalytic converters and failed emissions. Garage said looks like fuel leaked into the exhaust and possibly needed a engine rebuild. and couldn't come up with the money to fix her

eek. I am dreading the day I have to swap out my cats. I was surprised when I learned that the KJ has 3 of the darn things. Figures though.

What's an emissions test? ;)

Don't get me started on how ridiculous i think they are though..

LOL tell me about it. Before I moved to Vegas I lived in Wis and at the time the emission test was this....open fuel door--gas cap...check..."you pass."

I mean really? But then again it does create some jobs so I should not complain too much...but I still think they are ridiculous.
