Wow--excellent pics and travels!

I love those nightime tailgate cooking pics...are there any special tricks to photographing those? I saw a great one in Bike magazine as well.

That is one of my favorite photos.

No special tricks. Just a little manual exposure control. Camera was hand held, just a snap shot.
(All these are made with a cheap Canon digital p&s.)

If you've yet to meet him on any of his travels, he's a great guy with loads of interesting conversations to share. Cindy and I had the pleasure of camping with him for a few weeks in Yellowstone and it was great.

His photography is amazing. These snap-shots are nothing compared to the images he makes with his Large Format equipment. Not degrading these shots, as they're realy cool too!!
