Where are the pics man??
I am leaving in the morning for a trip to Missouri, so I will be reporting on the gas mileage. I hope to see a noticeable improvement with the less aggressive and narrower tread.
These really ride well.

I wanted to report on the tires during my trip to Missouri over this last long weekend.
I put about 1,900 miles on my new Warden AT's and my average mileage increased 1.5 mpg, over the Mickey Thompson Baja's. They have a small hum, but they far surpass my expectations and I can talk in a normal tone to people in the XJ, as well as folks on the phone. My speedometer is off 5 mph, according to my GPS.
While on location, I was off-road a bit on the farm I was visiting and surprisingly to me, and the guy that owns the place, I only went into 4H, twice. It was very wet with a few inches of snow on the ground. There is a pic in my album of the XJ after winching a hickory tree out of the woods. I crossed a frozen creek in the woods, heading uphill after exiting, and never spun a wheel. I just kept it slow.
I am VERY pleased with my Treadwright purchase.

Well I bought a set of Guard dogs from Treadwright, and spent all of Monday driving down the highway in the rain. I'm pleased. They are louder than the cooper ST's that I wore out, but I can deal with that. With some center lug siping, they should be as sure footed as the ST's. We'll see how they wear, and if they last for 35k, I'll spring for another set.

Did you buy them with 'Kedge Grip'? While I'm in favor of siping I don't think I would have them siped with the Kedge... seems to me the glass/walnut mixture might damage/dull the siping tool.

According to Treadwright, the glass /walnut shell mixture results in the tires gaining siping as the material gets used up and comes out.

To Sipe Or Not To Sipe (with Kedge Grip)
Yep that makes sense and I can see the glass/walnut material reducing the need for siping, like driving on sand when it's icy. (I'm familiar with TreadWright tires.)
But I was specifically commenting on his intention to have the tires aftermarket siped (in a prior post) and thinking the Kedge ‘may' be very hard/damaging on the siping wheel.
If it was me I would consider siping TreadWrights without the Kedge Grip, but if I had the Kedge I would not aftermarket sipe.

Do you mean the A/T?? I am looking for the XT on the site and am having a tough time finding them.
BTW My brother has a set of their Howler M/Ts on his XJ and loves them.
Although I can see why they are called howlers! Damn they are loud!

i have a set of their M/T on my Sierra and they are definitely loud! but other than that they are great. i have 15k of harsh miles in high Texas/Mexico heat and plenty of time off road. and they're only about half gone.

No kedge grip in mine. I didn't see the need to as I don't incur snow and ice where I live. After spending some time in the rain with them, I may just leave well enough alone, as I have not felt un confident whilst driving in less than perfect conditions. In short, they've yet to slip on me.
