Oooooooo, I like that! They have quite a few caliber options. I'll need to save my lunch money for that price tag though.

Well, here in Tx were are almost required by state law to carry a gun. LOL

I am rarely found away from home without my Colt 1911 in my truck. When the wife is along, and I think it necessary, I'll throw her Browning High Power 9mm in as well. On the rare occasion I have felt more firepower might be needed, I'll bring along the cheap ole SKS. I am fairly accurate with it, and it would be good at providing covering/suppressive fire, possibly allowing a retreat to a safer area for me or my family. Being a paratrooper model, it too is short and rather easy to deploy, with the 30rnd magazine it will run a while before it goes empty, it's cheap to shoot when playing around, and perfectly capable of taking down feral hogs, coyote, deer, or what ever else might be legal fare at the time. And like mentioned earlier in this thread, it is fairly cheap and easily replaced if something were to happen to it.

Still in spite of all that is available, I carry a Remington 870 with 14" barrel. A 12 gauge seems to fit every application.:coffee:

In the US you need special permit to carry a shotgun with a barrel that short. :(

Actually, you need a permit to own that kind of weapon as it is an ATF Class 2 or 3 weapon. Transporting it would not be that much of an issue - just regulated by local laws. If I may ask 7.62 - does Canada regulate such a short barreled shotgun at all? Or perhaps you mean an 18" barrel?

And that copilot lever gun......:drool::drool: My bank account does not thank you for posting that up.

In Canada, a 14" barrel pump shotgun (as long as it is factory) is perfectly legal. I have hunted grouse with it for years although I prefer my wife's Winchester 1300 20 gauge but I digress. As a truck gun, it just works.:coffee:

If my memory serves me correct, you can not shorten a barrel to less than 18.5" however if it is a factory barrel in the overall length must be over 26" to remain unrestricted.

The top one is unrestricted with 12.5" barrel, the bottom one is restricted with a 6.5". However if you put the top stock on the bottom one instead of the pistol grip it becomes unrestricted with a 6.5" barrel.

Funny you can do that but an AR is restricted... and an SKS is unrestricted... politicians...

Yeah, the 6.5" with a full stock is unrestricted up here but it sure isn't that good (looks cool though).I think IGA had a coach gun (double barrel) with 12" barrels that was also popular up here. I hunt with my SKS (it is my backup) but my first love is still my 41 6.5X55 Swede. If a real serious problem needs to be solved there is always this...:coffee:

That photo (1919) was taken at the Winona Military Range about 7 years ago. It's not mine (I am more of a 50 cal type of guy). A group of us used to rent the range for 5 days every summer to hone our chops out to 800 yards. We called ourselves the Winona Vintage Arms Society.:coffee:

I would have never guessed that our neighbors to the North would have been able to one-up us here in the USA. That is pretty cool! Even my employer has to pay the ATF fee to own our 14" Remington 870s. You lucky dogs......:sombrero:

The short barrel regulation is one I have never understood - I can understand regulating of full auto / select fire and suppressors.....but NOT barrel length.

My 870 has a non-restricted (fully legal) 8.5" barrel, and is 26.5" with the full stock, makes a nice truck gun, holds 4 3" magnum shells.
