TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

It hangs down too far! You never drag yours? Best picture I could find, with 285s-

I did put the spare under the truck last winter when my truck was on tow pig duty. Planning on chopping the exhaust just after the muffler and welding on a 90 degree bend to keep the exhaust away from the larger 35.

My spare takes up a solid third of the bed. Behind the spare I pack up a large cooler, a big box full of camp gear and dry food, two camp chairs, a rolled-up inflatable kayak, oars, lifejackets, fishing gear, recovery gear, a grate for the fire, a chainsaw, some firewood, a shovel, a hi-lift and a camp table.

I've thought that if I ever bobbed the bed, I'd make a swingout for my full size spare and have at least the same amount of room in the bed that I do now.

Truck looks good. Definitely begging for that Benc bumper. Post a straight ahead and straight behind photo so I can see your glass and your stance. Please!

You carry a lot of stuff. I usually travel pretty light, and either do without or replenish daily. I had the same problem with the spare under the bed. It fit, but was dragged over everything.

I was really worried about the width difference, but it's not too bad. Most people ask if the front is wider because it is noticeable, but not super obvious. I may try on some rear 1.25" spacers like rickashay recommended. I've been pondering swapping the rear axle to a custom housing to match the width, but that's a lot of cash for only aesthetic gains and disk brakes.

Truck made its maiden voyage into the dirt today. Only issue was the gauge fuse. It needs a little tweaking here and there. I was mostly easy on it.

It's begging for a Benc front bumper

not much bed space, but I don't really EXPO like most of you guys.

Camburg long travel/Icon coilovers/Light racing jounce
Deaver G57/Shackle flip/15" bed bob/Icon piggybacks

Wow Blender it's looking great! Pretty much my dream Tundra... haha

Do you think you would have opened up the factory fenders 2-3" you would have been able to clear the tires at full bump? I still want to run LT but not sure I like the look of the glass. Admittedly though, yours makes it look pretty good.

Get us some pics of that shackle flip!

Details on the bedrack? Just what I am looking for myself!

Not much in the way of details.. it's a home brewed solution based around some 1 to 1.25 and 2 inch square tube

Loaded up with tent, solar panel, rotopax and rear led's

Hey Blender, what ARB bumper is that? It looks like it's been widened? Clean truck!

Stock ARB Sahara bar. The fiberglass fenders tuck in to about stock fender width where they meet the bumper. I didn't expect it to work like that.

Thanks! The stock fenders could have been trimmed upwards. My passenger side fender was damaged by a ledge a few years ago. Fiberglass was the cheap/easy fix. It would have needed ~1.5" cut for the 34" tires to clear at bump. The LT doesn't gain a ton of up travel without modifying the inner fender. The current limiting factor is the bolthead of the upper control arm uniball, just like stock replacement uniball arms.

The fiberglass is the narrowest that could cover the tires with a 4" bulge. It doesn't match the body lines of the truck, it's just a big domed surface. My rears could use a high-arch look. SeanPistol's trimmed fenders look great...

I'll take some clear daylight shackle pictures in the next few days.

Wow blender that looks great! Your truck for some reason has always been able to pull off the mismatched track width look not bro-truckish at all. A benc bumper is going to match the rear really well not to mention improve your approach angle over the arb.

Blender, when you decide to get a Benc bumper, let me know and we'll make a deal on that ARB. Trucks looking good by the way.

Thanks. Oddly enough I do refer to it as "bro-truck" to my buddies.

I'll probably take you up on that.

That's a sweet looking bumper at an attractive price. The sliver of visible rear bumper looks pretty nice too.

Lol this is a true story. LT is just so much easier but in a perfect world it would be linked.

sounds like an excuse for three Tundras: One LT, one linked and one that actually drives.

I emailed and asked them about that. I've been wanting a high clearance rear bumper but don't have the time/space/ability to build one myself...
