Mesa Verde, or Green Table was next National Park we managed to fit in our route. We had doubts before going to it, will it be worth or not. After visiting it, we can say for sure – it is! Place by itself is unique, but it’s not what people are after when they go to Mesa Verde. It’s the ruins of homes and villages built by the Ancient Pueblo peoples – ancient Native Americans. In park territory you can see lots of them and most importantly how they improved their architecture and skill as time went by. Looking at the last ones to be built and how perfect they are, it’s clear - they were masters of their “trade”.

Places don't make travel interesting, people do! Yes, people around are very important aspect of every travel as they shape experience. We had the honor to spend time with A to B Rollerski team. If you don't know about this project, now is the time! A to B Rollerski was born 26 (!!!) years ago (1988), when Raymond Dombrovsky started his 4200 mile long journey on rollerskis from Artic (Inuvik) to Baja, Mexico. This year he and film crew are back to film for upcoming documentary about this unique and not so easy adventure. Truly great people, which we had pleasure to meet and spend a day with – see how they work hard to make this project happen. After this event we are full of positive energy and can't wait to see documentary, which is planned to be released in second half of 2015. Raymond, thanks for the tea and coffee!

Utah has been a blast so far! First park, that we visited in Utah was National Bridges National Monument. Hiked and looked at most popular three. Massive and impressive structures. Other News: We have driven our first 10 000km (6000mi)

Despite the fact that Natural Bridges was first visited park in Utah, first place we drove through and that gave us little insight on what Utah is like and how beautiful it is, was Valley of the Gods. There is 27km (17mi) road that goes through the valley and allows to view majestic rock formations from up close. That was first place we visited in Utah, next time about first campsite. Believe it or not, that was even better.

Muley point – our first and very much so spectacular free camping in Utah. Looking at how many people were there on Friday night, we can judge that this is not one of the most popular places. We have no problems with that. Views are world class and almost full moon made our experience even more interesting. If you have a chance to visit and stay a night at Muley point, we highly recommend that. In other news: Looks like we are almost 3 weeks behind on publishing updates about our adventures (we are not even talking about blog…). Currently in Arizona. Have visited Grand Canyon and met awesome Latvians, more about it in next updates.

There are things and places that make men feel like boys again. In Off-road/Overlander world one of these iconic places is Moab, Utah. You can see a huge variety of big boy toys around here… Luckly we also managed to experience a bit of Moab and its surroundings. Astrid, well she proved once again, that she is one capable girl.

Canyonlands National Park was next on our list, and of course there were fantastic camping spots around it. Park is not a small one, and what makes it even “bigger” are 3 separate parts of it, which are not joined. Lots of driving to see all 3… Park also has interesting 4x4 trails, which we didn't take this time… However for the next time when we return White Rim Trail will be must do activity - ~160km (~100mi) dirt road that follows the canyon rim. Sounds exciting.
