Time for an update! We've wrapped up the DeQuiglification on the WA van, now we're switching to the engine work. Body should be off tomorrow for an extensive 6.0 update. Another 8" on 37's hits the ground!

The Bronco project has finally make some progress, everything is stripped! Engine tranny & t-case, suspension, everything. Cut the coil buckets off and cleaned the frame too. As soon as the axle cart is freed up we'll start mocking up the F suspension.

Very excited to follow the progress on the Bronco ... I've been waiting for this one to start since you first announced it was in the works.

Is the WA van owned by a biker/kayaker by chance? I know there is/was a similar van in my area. Would love to check it out in person when it's back!

So I've found what I think may be a good donor van for sale, a 2007 E-350 w/6.0L diesel. It only has ~30,000 miles, and I suspect it has spent a lot of its life idling. Is this a reason to pass on this particular van, or no big deal? I realize the 6.0 usually benefits from some aftermarket fixes; I just don't want to complicate things too much more.

What was it used for? Private sale? Any service records? Low mileage isn't a reason to pass, just have the turbo checked out as well as everything else. Turbo cleaning is a must.

Chris: We are appreciating StanVan more and more as time goes by. Have 17,000 mi on him now.......Colorado and Big Bend Nat'l Park in the last 6 mo. Did about 60 miles of primitive roads with no problems. We also really enjoy the visibility for sightseeing on the highway. Looks like you're staying busy..............congrats and best wishes. Sometimes you take the bodies off. I know it´s 10 or 12 bolts- when is it worth doing it? I remember you did it when swapping the engine on the white (V3?). Would you always recommend to lift the body when engine swapping or is it easier through the very tight front?

I heard an Ford Dealer saying that her needs 1h to lift the cabin off.
