More action from today, V4's booty shot. New Sterling 10.5 with a Yukon Grizzly Locker, we replaced everything in the rear end since I went from a 00-04 axle to an 05-07. They have a wider WMS to WMS and bigger brakes. Kept the Dynatrac cover and you can see the tail end of the Diamond Eye exhaust system.

The 04 Ambo is headed home to IL, what a sweet build. Only 7k on the clock, this this is perfect! It must have sat inside a climate controlled shop. 6" lift, American Force 19.5's, 35" tires, OBA, Stage 2 front axle with RSC parts upgrade, dual 5160's up front. We left the front bumper raw and polished it, will offer this as an option instead of powder.

That V4 bed mount looks an awful lot like a unimog set up. Inspired by? That ambo is sweet and reminds me. Mine sits high in the rear which naturally causes rake in the front, and I don't like it. Does your 6" kit also level things out, or is it a straight up 6" all the way around? And when you get a moment check your email. I've got one or two in there somewhere with the questions I shot your way. Awesome, awesome work by the way.

Not often that we have 2 of the big boys here at the same time!

Because I'm a sucker for punishment and apparently don't have enough on my plate, I've been working on a new roof rack design that I plan to debut at the Overland Expo. Extruded aluminum, light, easy to ship, lots of accessories and infinite adjustability. More details soon as we develop the goodies.

7.3 refresh is done! Lots of work. We replaced everything but the long block, rebuilt the transmission and got it all back together. An hour later it was on a flatbed headed to be dipped. Look forward to it returning Monday looking MUCH different! Then we'll start the DeQuiglification process. This rig will be done for the expo too.

Not really close to Mercedes Unimog. Actually every 4x4 truck over 12 tons has a flexible bed mount from European Manufactures - except MAN KAT1 of course.
Mercedes, as Magirus e.g. have build guidelines that force you to build a bed/container mounts flexible (as they will break if not done flexible but fixed, offroad). No truck is build different - BUT usually it is highly recommended to build a 3-mount with the fixed 2-mount at the rear and the flexible one at the middle (5-mount) or front. This gives the rear axle a better control.
Though Ujoints V4 is a quite light truck in comparison, not really high with a relatively low center of gravity. This is in comparison with the bigger ones like a Magirus FA170D12 an 14" wheels.
