Okay thanks! I just got off the phone with the dealer and both their 09 and 13 model has the 4 speeds. Search continues, guess I'm looking for a V10 now.

We just updated our Sterling 10.5 install kit to include e-brake cables. We've tried many many combos of cables with different results, these are the easiest to bolt up and get functional. Kit price is up to $395.

Yea if you want the 5R110 you'll need the V10. Extra power is always nice!



Not that I know of.

The reason I ask is that is what is currently backing the 5.0 in my F-150. I beat the tar out of it and it just keep on ticking. It seems to be a pretty stout package.

Wondering if it would be easier to pull a transmission from a similar year f150? Obviously verify they are identical. V10 in newer body style passenger look slim to none at a reasonable price.

I wonder if MG would be interested in the challenge. My guess is it would be child's play for him compared to his current project.

Just the transmission by itself would be challenging unless someone has come up with a stand alone controller for the 6r80e. (I haven't looked into it too much but it will probably happen some day given that the hot rodding scene seems to really like to talk about this trans).

If you're swapping the whole drivetrain then it might be easier since the engine and trans are controlled by the same module. Not child's play but doable...with the right budget.

So many variables for this question. I wouldn't even try to guess without knowing what you're starting with, what you're putting it into, how much you want to do yourself, your timeline and how it will be maintained once completed. Feel free to contact me offline if you want to drill down to some numbers (based on your answers to several questions I would have upfront).

Updates......!

Blue 7.3 van is moving along. Decided to knock out the majority of the 4x4 swap before pulling the body for engine work. Axle is in, teardown to body pull has begun. This big boy will be up 8" on 37's.
