hey Chris would you mind asking the owner of the Poland van if he wants to sell both front turn signals and the grill. Thank you so much, if so call me on my phone.

@phenopd

I have Jody's 60 econo and 80 econo tunes along with the stock tune in California. As long as I test it in the stock tune it passes. If you rev it in the other tunes it will fail from to much tailpipe smoke. I move the switch out of sight during the test and they can't tell anything's modified if they don't really look.

Besides the 4wd it's easily the first thing I would do to our vans, it completely transforms its drivability around town.

2.8rsr or Chris,
Can you talk a little more about the DP Tune; I talked to Chris about it briefly and am interested in knowing what the advantages are (ie, fuel econo, power??). I have a 2003 7.3 that currently has an edge chip.
Thanks,
Taylor

I've never driven any other tune on our vans other than the DP so I can't compare it to any of the Edge tunes. That may be a question for Chris, another thread or a Google search. I decided on the DP initially based on forum reviews. I get between 14-16 mpg on 32's with 4.11's, I rarely drive over 70 and don't tow but carry heavy loads in the van.

I don't want to hijack this thread, so if you have other questions you can PM me.

Back to the drool worthy pics. :drool:

Once you have the tuner (i DD in the 80 daily eco tune) and then switch it back to stock it feels like you're dragging a million pounds! Or a giant is holding your bumper back.

The new tunes that we have were written custom on V4 and another van we had at the shop. Made a big difference, mainly in the transmission. I had the DP tunes on it before the live tuning and they were good but much better now.

If you talk to DP tell him you want the Ujoint tunes. My investment is the gain of all 7.3 van guys.

Not that I need one(have the SCT tuner), but are you also working on special-lovesauce-tunes for the 6.0L van guys? :chef:

Lots of action at the shop today. Shipping, building, etc. Made the 1st cuts on the Torchmate today, pallet of goodies headed to Canada, UPS stuff to UT, CO, MN & AZ, working on the Poland Van sheet metal swap.

Progress! Kind of a pain when you're sourcing all new parts from Ford. They don't really understand what I'm doing so when I say "send everything" they leave out a lot. Completing this swap with a donor van would be much easier. Doing it correctly is always harder too! The last one we had here was kind of hacked together. Next one will be easier for us.
