I like progress! KS 5.4 rig coming together nicely. Should have bumpers hung tomorrow and then we just need shafts to get it rolling.

Every time I see the Sherpa with the top up I think the panel in the front ( protected by the cab when it's down) should have a big screen on it playing a loop of ujoint action videos. ;) you could even have a remote and play the how-to videos and visually answer the questions people have about swaps.

Thats a great idea. I do plan to get a projector for the kids when they get a bit older..... may have to make that investment sooner!

Anyone running 34's on their 6" kit? A small local tire shop has a set of 305/70/17 Toyo AT2s they ordered in for a customer who backed out - he'll make me a killer deal...

Sure, listing it for 90k. Has 24k on the clock.

6" UJOR 4x4 conversion with progressive springs, dual front Bilstein 5160 series shocks, Stage 2 front axle w/RSC upgrade and a Dynatrac diff cover, UJ overload airbags, UJ aluminum fuel tank, NV271 transfer case, 1350CV driveshafts front & rear, UJ rear skid system with a Deka 8A4D battery & underfloor storage, Aluminess front bumper with a Rigid 30" light bar and 4 Rigid dually lights along with a Warn VR12000 winch that has synthetic winch line and relocated control plug. Our back there is another Aluminess bumper that has their Deluxe box as well as some 4" Rigid LED lights. All lights are wired to the factory upfitter switches in the dash. To help the passengers we have a set of AMP running boards. Up top is a 20" Aero hi top from Fiberine and we fabricated a complete custom interior. Check our video page for a walk thru tour. Where the rubber meets the road we have some 35/12.50/17 Toyo MT's and XD Addict Wheels.

Hey Chris. I don't own a van (yet), but this is one of my favorite threads on the forum! I just look at all the vans and dream!

Got a question for you though. BlueSteel is an insanely good looking van, but I would like to (eventually) build something sort of at the other end of the spectrum. If I had an E350 and you converted it to 4wd for me, what is the smallest lift that I could get away with? What's the smallest lift you've ever installed? Any pics? I'm not looking for a low-rider, but I'm picturing something that more closely resembles stock.

Cool, thanks! Our lowest lift is 4", have plenty of examples on our website. On the UJOR 4x4 Van Builds as well as the testimonial page.

Chris, I see no reason why your add-a-leaf wouldn't work with my setup but I figure I should ask, and is it in stock? Got to do something about my Baboon Butt (yeah, I made that up).

And how about that airbag kit? Does that work on the Ambos as well or just the standard E-series? Maybe pick this stuff up during the Expo?

It should but your spring pack is already huge so the difference will be marginal. Not sure if I have a set, we usually just keep them for installs and order with the springs. Airbags will work on your rig. Just have to open up the lower plate since your rear axle is bigger and has wider u-bolts. Let me know if you want them, have to ck my stock.
