Is that the Taurus SHO engine or Contour?Looks fairly clean but what the heck is it doing at a 4X4 van shop?

Yep, this is an 89 SHO motor! I had a 90 SHO back in the day, and I really loved that car. So.... I've always wanted a SHO coffee table, and now I'll have one! This motor is locked up, got it for a good deal. I just have to convince Jennifer to let me keep it in the house. She's already trying to force it downstairs to the man cave. :(

Hey Chris, A few years back I made an end table out of motorcycle engine for a friend of mine ….. I made it a “Cutaway” that you can turn over with a handle on the end of the crankshaft and see most of the parts move. I almost kept it for myself!

Now that is cool! I thought about doing something similar but this motor is locked up & I don't think I want to get that far into it and/or cut it up.

The WVan finally made it out of the shop today, lookin good. Just a few little things to finish it up, and it will be hanging around for another week before returning to WV. The SHO engine is apart & at the machine shop, having everything cleaned & lightened up. Another D60 is on the cart ready to be rebuilt & shipped to Alaska, and another van is on the way for a build that I'm just a LITTLE excited about!!

Here's WVan, 6" on 35's, D60 front, Sterling rear w/True Trac

I've also been working on a few other things. I added the trac bar install to install video #2, and I now have oil filter relocation kits available for the 6.0 diesel vans.

Vanaconda has finally made it into the shop. Took a while, but he forced himself in. Time for the pre winter service, and this one is hitting just shy of 100K!!!!! Yes, a 6.0 van can make it to 100K without any issues. :D

Oil & filter, fuel filters, rear diff fluid, clean & re pack front wheel bearings, clean & paint here & there, and a general check up on everything else.

I still have some van desktop pieces left, vans in black or green/jeeps in black. I can get them out Tuesday if anyone wants them before x-mas.

Ah man stop fooling about with that van and get back to making a bumper kit. Preferably one that will still fit the trumpets for the ambulance siren. Ok that's my yearly reminder, have a great Christmas.

killer thread

I can't wait to get going on my project. I am going for the V3 look for VanOWar, but with 8" of lift on 37's. I am going to start plugging away on my body work and interior basics when I get off this godforsaken tugboat. I will probably drop her off with you before I do my next hitch, I'm thinking Feb or Mar. I'm pumped! I def have van on the brain.

Thanks very much! Hopefully I'll have a good snow action video done this winter.
