V4 is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally found the perfect (in my eyes) cab/chassis. The dash isn't trashed, frame is in excellent shape, it's the right wheelbase, and it's a 7.3. I've got big plans for this rig, and it will be a long build..... a time filler.

And I've already started the mods :D Sterling is in so I can roll it around.

I'm really Really REALLY a fan of your projects! But I call an unfair, give us at least a little clue whats happening to the rear box/house.

I may have to don my all black gear, and ride my all black motorcycle, up to Chris's shop,do some surveillance, and capture some spy photos.

PSST,I wouldn't really do that to ya,Chris.

BTW,I was over close to your shop today but I didn't go by.I figured you'd be out with the lady for New Years. Happy New Year!

Thanks! As of right now, it's only getting a flatbed although my ultimate goal is to build a mini ER or GXV box. We'll see what happens once I have the body & suspension finished.

Progress on the 99 7.3 van today. F suspension is gone as well as the running boards, tranny is prepped for removal, and it's time to bust out the drill and have some fun!

I've talked to a few guys in the past few days that are looking for god donor vans, so I thought I'd take a few minutes to hunt them down. Here are a few that I've found so far...

Super nice low mileage 7.3!!! Somebody better grab this one

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...e=b&num_records=25&cardist=298&standard=false

6.0 ready for some windows

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...e=b&num_records=25&cardist=435&standard=false

Older low mileage 7.3, Not sure about the door on the side, but that could be fixed.

Another clean low mileage 7.3

Thanks for the list Chris. I did find a 6.0 diesel within my price range here in WA that I'm looking into, but I wish that autotrader had a few more steps between 500 mile radius and everything. Huge leap of faith to fly, purchase a vehicle unseen, and then drive it 1500 miles home.

Hopefully things line up and I sell my cruiser and can jump on this local van.

I love days like today! The cab back for V4 arrived, fenders are leaving CA tomorrow. Hopefully next week I'll have a day to get the body off & send to the body shop.

VANimal is getting together one piece at a time, today it got the front axle & t-case. Set it on the ground before I left so I can measure for shafts in the AM. Looks great! Still waiting for bumpers & steps, and this machine will be ready to roll.

I'm neck deep in 50's still(bummer). But have some more leeds for a 60 its difficult to tell the differance so its hard to blame the seller when the BOM tag is gone.

I know to check the BOM numbers with the dana website or look at the U bolts as explaned to me by Chris, is there any other trick that someone has used to tell the differance if the numbers are gone and the U bolts are missing?

One of these will pan out besides its like hunting(man likes to hunt).

Thanks again Chris.
