Cool.
I think mine is 16 or 18 peak... must be great to have the extra space. But I'm not complaining.

7.3 Chateau ready to go home. 6" on 35's, UJ roof rack and front bumper, looks and drives great!

Most common point of failure with unit bearings, the spindle bearing. They grenade 1st and then take out the stub shaft and everything else nearby. So, I had these Delron bushings made that replace the bearing and solve the problem. $25 ea, easy to swap.

Interesting. I have never seen Delrin used in place of a roller bearing like that. How long do you expect them to last?

Hopefully much longer than the stock needle bearings. I know a guy that has been running these on a different application for a long time, they're working well. Since the axle shaft just sits on them for most of the time I expect the lifespan to be much longer than the bearing. They're more of a guide anyway, not load bearing.

Serious axle porn here. Stage 2 D60, 4.56, Spyntec hub upgrade, SSBC calipers & rotors, DRW adapters, ready for action under the RV.

Good god man. If anybody ever brings you an idi an asks you to put a turbo on it, wait till they leave, toss a match in the sucker and tell'em it was a lightning strike and they should start over. With a power stroke this time around.
