Coil conversion for this V10 rig soon. For now we're swapping the rear to 4.10s, adding an ARB locker as well as the sPOD system.

Its raining vans! Nate brought his rig in for some upgrades & maintenance. Transmission service, inner axle seals, SSBC brakes, tires, gear oil change, general check up. Love this super cool 7.3 rig.

V8 has been good so far, putting miles on it when I can. Need to bring it in for a ck up, have a popping noise when the pass side compresses. I drove V7 all last weekend and last week because of the snow/kids/etc and then went to V8, quite a difference.

I feel that the coil swap needs more attention to keep straight, soaks up some of the harsher bumps better, doesn't handle as well and overall requires more driver input. Now this may be because I drive V7 a lot more but I'm much more confident in it. V8 doesn't have a sway bar yet. I also may get it re aligned, currently has just under 4 degrees of positive castor so it doesn't return to stock like our leaf kit. Will try to get closer to 5+ on the camber and that may help.

I've been quoting a lot of coil kits, look forward to building more.

V8 under the knife. Transmission is off to be converted so we can fiinish up the 4x conversion. All new exhaust, t-case, shortened tank, should be back together next week so I can get her on eBay as a completed rig!

Hey Chris, did you ever get the V8 caster tweaked, add a sway bar or do any more adjustments? If so, did the changes affect your impression of V8 vs V7, specifically about tracking or returning to straight?

Not yet but hope to work it in next week. I will say that the more I drive it the more I like it.

Crazy week, I think the crew and I are exhausted. Finished up Nate's 7.3 refresh, love this van. New Toyo MTs, inner axle seals, SSBC calipers and rotors, Fox 2.0s, transmission service, rear diff service and outer seals and some roof rack upgrades/changes. This van has the 2nd rack from our current version.

Aluminess goodies showed up for the B190, they've been driving it around the area for a few days while we waited and adjusting to the new altitude! Rig drives SOOOO much better than stock! Turned out really nice and they'll be back next week to finish up the wiring and add the deluxe box in the rear. I'll shoot a quick video then.

6" lift, 35" Toyo AT2, Stage 2 front D60 with RSC upgrade parts, 4.56 gears.

Under the knife next week is this 5.4 wagon. Coil conversion, 33's, going to be sweet! I like to murder these things out but never want to own a black van! We'll be shooting an install video as well as instructions for the coil swap with this rig.

My boys and I went for an afternoon ride to see some friends that were camping. Always like to be in the woods.

Expedition Vehicle Engineer Guy
Hey Chris,

I don't know if it's possible to do anything with the RSC on the vans, but some guys on ford-trucks.com have been delving into the various modules using FORScan to turn on or off or change parameters on F-150s and Superdutys.

I used it to change the TPMS range for my 37s and it worked like a hot damn.

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1464739-forscan-and-as-built-data-17.html

I used Forscan to completely turn the TPMS off on my 2010 (because I don't have sensors in the wheels I am currently running). I went into the BCM as built files in module 726-02-01 where the tire pressure setpoints are stored. I'd love to see some different as builts for other e-350s with different features to figure out what can be turned on/off.
